Our goal has been to build the absolute best cow herd possible – thus producing the maternal strength that won’t easily find elsewhere. Our commitment to the best structure, udder quality, feet and legs and deep bodied production seedstock continues. This year with the combination of excellent pastures and genetics our heaviest weaned calf came off pasture at over 1000 lbs. We don’t creep feed our calves. While on feed we feed a high roughage ration with the goal of an average daily gain of 3 lbs per day.
